too funny, ok maybe i need to set the bong down and brainstorm this a little more....

i havent used rockwool because i use hydroton..... maybe i will try this approach or think about it when i am stoned later on tonight and we can chat more about it lol.....

Great you are sooooo STONED, I grow hydro with Hydroton and place jiffy coir pellets into it with my seedlings in, works great no leakage from pellets try it!

hey woom, when u do that do u have to flood less? because the pellets absorb and hold onto the moisture? do you think this process would work with an aeroponic? i could set the sprayer up on a timer i suppose.... i worry about the plants getting too much water (using the pellets)...

I dont flood to the height of the pellet, about a couple of inches below making the roots search for the water!
