i haven't heard enough information to be sure but is it true that if you can get the roots to grow more horizontally (wider) the plant it self will become wider?? and if so will this lead to an increase in yield. i am going to be planting some purchased seeds, JOCK HORROR and TRAVELING THAI but instead of using 5 gal. pots i am making shallow boxes (6" deep X 18" square)..... i'm hoping that the increase in area per plant will offset the diminished quantity of plants with increased yield per... i figure why grow 20 when i can get away with 10.. any thoughts???
