alright i've already got my set up but after reading these boards daily was wondering what people's thoughts were on using a 600hps for everything vegging and flowering or if it's worth it to get a mh lamp for vegging....

mh is good but you could use the 600 hps without to much issue maybe throw 2 or 3 shop lights in with some different color spectrum to add.

i use just 600hps works alright for me mate

I've been using a 600 hps for vegging and flowering for a long time now. I get really good results, just under a pound per cycle, in a 2.5 x 3 foot space with about three feet of headroom. Change out the bulb about every three or four grows.

Just upgraded to 600 from 400. Actually waiting on UPS (supposed to be here Tues.)

I have heard that 600 is the most efficient. More light never hurts.
