I think one of my plants is a hermi and I want to let it grow to make some more seeds. will the seeds from a hermie produce all sexes or just more hermies?

If it's grown from seed as a hermi then all your seeds will be hermies. Not a good idea. KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

It's a gamble. Either they will be hermie or feminized. I've heard people say they get hermies out of em all the time and theres say they get females from them all the time. Luck of the draw

If they're in pots, then put them in a closet for 12/12. KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

If a female plant has gone under stress and become hermi its still genetically a female. Meaning there are no male genes. So there is a small chance that the offspring will be hermie. They are femininzed seeds, not hermies.

I am trying to figure out the same thing. I had some white widow clones turn hermi and had pollinated the rest of my grow which was norther lights x skunk #1. It should be a very good cross as long as the seeds don't turn out to be hermi. The NL x SK #1 buds turned out nice, they just had seeds. You can see them in my journal. What do you guys think?

Hey Everyone,

I'm struggling with the possibility of hermies after buying feminized seeds in a recent trip to Amsterdam. If I would have been more informed about the possibility of hermies, I would have avoided them.. Oh well, lesson learned.

What I bought was feminized:

White Widow
White Diesel
Bleu Berries

All from Sensi Seed Bank.

Word is plant stress, particularly environmental stress (temp is a big contributor), is a major factor in causing feminized seeds to go hermie.

The product that will prevent this is Dutch Masters Reverse and Penetrator (Penetrator must be used with Reverse). This product should be applied via spray when you flip to 12/12 lighting and again in 10 days. It's designed to grow seedless vegetables and works great to prevent any nanners from popping up on your female plants and ruining a great grow.

I guess the question I have, has anyone had success with using a plant from a feminized seed (or a clone from a feminized seed plant) as a mother with no recurring problems with hermaphrodite tendencies?

As far as the original question regarding hermie seeds. I'm getting ready to grow a couple of great bag seed indicas that were fertilized by a hermie sativa during my first grow. As sticky and crystally as they all were, I'm guessing the kids will turn out nice. I have heard on plants that self fertilize (hermies) the seeds will be female, but also prone to hermie too. I got rid of the self fertilized beans..

Peace, Farmer Rich

Exactly, which is why I'm waiting for the cooler weather to set in... Once fall gets here, my boxes stay 68-75.

Still the question for me is, how about clones from a plant from from feminized seeds? How about a clone from one of the plants grown to be a mamma?
