My germ rate was 100% with the rhino with the paper towel/ziplock method, but only 3 of 5 for the greenhouse widow. I can't get any decent pix of my setup on the computer, but it's pretty basic. I started with a 400 watt hps in a 1x4 closet, but that got small quick. I ended up with two 400 watt lights in a 5x5 closet (and a couple 42 watt cfl's) with mylar covering all surfaces. 8 plants were under each light with the cfl's giving additional light to the taller plants that were furthest from the hps's. A 20" box fan inside the closet blowing air out and a 12 inch desk fan outside the closet blowing air in. This setup worked fine until the weather got hot, since then i've had problems even after I put a small air conditioner in the room outside the closet. On really hot nights (the lights in the flowering room are only on at night) I can only run one light at a time. I grew in 3 gallon grow bags using a soiless mix made mostly of coco fiber (roots organics) and fed with sensi grow, sensi bloom, big bud, and carboload. Other than the heat and lack of odor control, this system worked fine for me. I'm gonna grow my next crop in the spare bedroom though cause growing more than a few plants in a small closet like that is really a pain in the ass if you water manually.

Oh, by the way. Even though the white rhino wasn't uniform as far as flowering, all the plants were nearly the exact same height (probably about 3 1/2 feet). Also, a lot of my plants wanted to bend over at the stalk because of the weight of the top cola, but the only one to actually snap was one of the rhinos when I was moving it so be careful of that. Having to cut down my best producer early because of my own carelessness was kinda shitty.

Wow. I didn't know you could buy single seeds. That's great. Have you ever ordered from this seedbank though? I really like the idea of ordering single seeds, but I'm kinda nervous about ordering from a bank I've never heard of.

thanks crotalus, i think i made a good choice for a first grow, also growing in coco, have bought the hesi coco range + boosters. my area is 2.8 ft x 2.8 ft x 6 ft.
im hoping to veg the 4 rhinos for 5 weeks or untill screen is 70 percent full.

sorry to keep banging the questions into you, but your first grow nearly replicates what i intend to do, which is a good thing, what was the stretch like on your babys once flowering was induced??? you've been most helpfull my man!

I'd really like to do a grow journal, but I don't have a digital camera and my cell phone takes horrible pics. The Crimea Blue is definately a possibility though.

any ideas on your next grow, i will definately be doing nycd by soma after i get a few grows with the rhino under my belt. soma seeds are rediculously expensive but the genetics look flawless, have yet to read a bad grow report on nycd.

Don't worry about the questions. It's nice to be able to answer instead of ask for a change. I didn't do the scrog so I can't tell you how yours will do under the screen. I can tell you that mine shot up like crazy though. I put them on 12/12 after about four weeks of veg. I was gonna wait longer but they already had preflowers and I couldn't resist. They were probably around 14 or 16 inches tall when I changed the light cycle. Within like the first three weeks they had all shot up past three feet.
I just measured the last rhino that hasn't been chopped. It's 42 inches tall, and that is about the same height the rest were. All of the widow and rhino were about that height. I would have guessed that they would double in height during flowering but they tripled.

that is some major stretch, i think you could have just saved me from a catastrophe, what was you phing your water to, i will be going with 5.8, what was yours ?????
