You should pick a mother due to the strength and vigour it shows when growing next to the same aged clones, this way you get a much better chance of future healthy stock.

yes well things didn't work out that way. things got messed up, and unfortantly I know only have three clones off three possible mothers, they are half way threw flowing and have had a great deal of stress.

But I can clearly see which one I would like to keep as a mother for futer crops.
The clone from this plant is very strong and growing very fast. It has pre Flowers on it but only 3 prong leaves. I'm gessing it will only ever have three pronged leaves.

My question was.

Will this plant make a good mother or will it always produce low quality plants?

Hi.

sorry If I sounded a bit grumpy last night, at my wits end a bit with this grow.

Thanks for your replies.

I'm not sure if you are not understading me or if I am not understading you.

Are you saying that beacuse the cutting doesn't have all of the gentics of the origanal mother (only 3 prong leaves) it is a bit of an unkown quatity and may or may not produce the same results as the orignal mother which is now flowering?

That would be anoying alright, as I am very happy with the orignal mother plant.

Incase you are not understanding me, I have tryed to explain my self more clarly.

I have three plants, which have been growing from seed. Right now they are 5 weeks into flowering, and it is clear that one is better than the rest. It is short and stocky with big buds, It also seems to be very resliant to heat and over stresses.

Before I started flowering I took Cuttings off each of the plants. All three cuttings are growing strong.

But they only have 3 prong leaves.

Ok. If you are sure they are form good stock dont worry about the amount of blades each leaf has, as many will tell you plants differ greatly when it comes to leaf formation and unless they are also deformed, twisted etc then go ahead and keep it. GL:joint:
