Carefully pull down the branches of your cannabis plant, or the whole plant, tye them down.
You are now forcing them to grow horizontally. Tthe nodes will start producing branches or buds that grow straight up. Bending should be done gradually to avoid pinching or snapping the stem. Use soft hemp string or cloth to secure the branch or stem loosely when tying down to minimize damage to the soft stems. Growth is slowed for awhile as the cannabis plant adjusts to the shock of being bent. This is a good technique to maximize space in a small grow room.

thanks. how do you tie it down though. i know your supposed to tie it with hemp or cloth but what do you tie it to?, do you just put the cloth or hemp over the branch and then tie it to something below the branch?

You make sure there is lots of room for growth on the end where the plant is.
And the other end, I either tie it to a round stick (wooden dowel, whatever works) placed in the pot, or like some I have I tyed it to a spike and archored it out side the pot. Whatever works.... some make cuts in their pots and just slide the string into it; it is looped around the plant.

I usually find the "S" method to be the best when keeping height to a minumum. Although, if you're using a Sativa strain I highly doubt you'll be able to find a way to grow it under your bed.
As P.R. asked, how big exactly is the space under your bed? |

I would get a bigger area.
By the way...... why are you growing a plant in such a small area? Are these small ice cream tubs, or the large ones that you see at Ice Cream venders? ![]() Bigger the area to work with, the better the harvest!
