No Choice-Must Convert Hydro To Outdoor Soil or Kiss'em Good Bye

A situation has presented itself to the op, its either convert 3 wk old DWC babes to earth bound trees or herbicide

. Please chime in if you have had any success with the proposed. The kids have been bottomed (root prune) so there is no tangle or 10' straglers. The most any root mass hangs below any 5" netpot is 4"(I would like to keep the discussion to the conversion and not about anything else, like bottoming). Time is short, about 30 hrs from ......................now.

you don't have any friends you can trust? they will probably die of shock goin from hydro to soil is like takin a crack head off his shit and givin him pixie sticks it just don't do it anymore no that you've had the good stuff. what the fuck is the situation?

The situation is they are being evicted. The new home is the outdoors, whether planted or buried. At T-2hrs. I will attempt the proposed and be the first if no one has answers. This thread is about my question everyone, I don't see your questions helping you to answer. I don't mean to sound dick, just in a hurry.

No exp, but can you put in post and keep indoors for a little spell. Like long enough to recover? Hydro to outside might be one hell of a shock. Best of luck.

They have been switched to soil. 4/5 are lookin good. 1 died instantly. They are in for the night tonigh, then in the trunk of a car all day tommorrow. I'll post again when they reach their destination.

The one that died pulled a Lazarus. All 5 DWC plants were sucessfully converted to soil(as of now), survived a 24hr car ride and will be in the ground in the morning.

hows the transplant going? im in a similatar situation just mine dont have to go outdoors, mine started looking pretty bad in the dwc just cause i dont have the right stuff and was too anxcious to try with out the know how, but have done several soil grows that were great so i transplanted back to soil

there now outdoors for about 4 days now. will have pics soon to post.

all but 1 clone looks great. clone is probably going to die.. it started to wilt when i check on it this morning. grabbed superthrive an am hoping that it will revive the plant.

one out of 8 plants has some leaf damage due to having to cut a good amount of the root off to remove it from the net pot. but is still alive and goin on.

So DWC to soil had NO WILTING other then having to cut one plants roots off to remove from the net pot.. IMO DWC to soil has little to no stress.

even a 24 hour ride with no light didnt effect them at all or very little at most.
