hey guys obviously i was working with a single cfl before, now i just upgraded to two and i have that connector thing. My question is, now instead of the light hanging directly over the plant, there is a light to each side. Will this effect my plant or should i just switch the lights out for each other every day or two? Thanks!

btw one light is 42 watt 6500k the other is 42 watt 2800k

how many plants are you growing? You may want to consider the investment in another 2+ lights. As far as your question goes, it is most beneficial to have the lights directly above the plant so as to more evenly disperse light throughout (and develop a canopy). Side lighting is really something that is best used to help the lower portions of the plant not drag too far behind the top of the plant for a more even development and more even potency during flowering. If you are forced to use only side lighting, expect your plants to start growing in that direction... maybe even noticably each day. Definetly make sure to do a 1/4 to 1/2 turn of your plants every day... or rotate the lights evenly instead. Good luck!

no the light is hanging above my plants in a V thing, so a light is on each end of the tip of the V. Just one light is 2800k spectrum while the other is 6500k. the light is coming down on the plants at an angle, not directly straight down becusae of the V is when its upside down, understand?

I gotcha... just make sure to rotate either the lights or the plants 1/4-1/2 turn every day or the very least every couple of days... and again, there is no such thing as too much light. I don't know how many plants you have, but it would be worth another adapter to have 2 more CFL in the room

i only hav 1 so i mean im just trying to give it the full spectrum of lights, although it seems that both of the lights arent hitting the plant as hard as when it was directly over it seems.
