| | Over Priced Fertilizers | | Ok... In the world of "grow your own" there are many players : Foxfarm, Botanicare, Dutch Masters, Advanced Nutrients.. and on and on it goes. They all claim to have the one formula. The key to unlocking all the doors to mary's squeeze box - buds the size of baseball bats. What are in these magical brews of modern technology ? Manure -aka- Bat or Seabird Guano, Worm Castings, Chicken Poop, even Llama manure - all basically manure in a liquid form, plus unsulphured molasses, a little seaweed extract, greensand, volcanic rock dust, or humic acid, even Mychorizzal Fungi (which is found in worm poop). So, why do they ask for so much of our money in exchange for their manure ? And why do, we seem so willing to pay it ? I am not afraid of manure, I tought your were supose to get your hands dirty when farming ? I have always been a Fix-it-yourself kinda guy, so here & now I proclaim WAR on Overpriced Nutrients - Join the fight. If you have a good formula for some magic juice - post it. If, you know of some cheap, but productive fertilizer - tell us about it - like how much it cost, whats in it & where to get it. It's the laws of supply & demand - Stop paying the "Big Guys" prices & eventually they will come down.... Viva la Revolution

| | Were not the only ones to use these products. They weren't created for growing weed, we just use them for that. Prices will never go down. |

| | Many of them are obviously aimed at weed growers like us.
Think about it, who in their right mind would spend the kind of money on
additives to grow tomatoes, lettuce or strawberries?
Plus the use of key words like BUD in their literiture. |

So, true. I want to stimulate as much discussion as possible about these fertilizers. Most of their secret fourmulas, are pretty basic stuff for the most part. Different guanos, molasses, good fungi.. etc.. and can be bought much cheaper. Education is nice, but their is no substitute for Experience. So, If you have mixed up some of natures goodies in the past & got good results. Share them.
Example:
(1) oz of unsulphured molasses to a gallon of unchlorinated water is a pretty decent, every other watering formula - during veggie growth.
or
(4) tablespoons of high N bat guano to a gallon of unchlorinated water & (4) tablespoons or worm castings. They compliment each other. I use this during, week four of veggie growth.
Blue Mtn. Organics - a real small company in the Ozarks, sells a pretty good organic plant tonic - they give the ingredients list on the Ebay listing for the stuff. I have bought & used it with great results. I am currently trying to figure out their mixing ratio's of stuff in it. If, anyone knows it - post it. Their prices are pretty reasonable, compared to others - but I am a very frugal guy. If, I can make it for five - I will not buy it for ten.

| | Most of the nute lineups that people use and talk about here were designed for marijuana. However, most of them are waaay overpriced and broken up into way too many separate packages ( more $$$ for the manufacturer ). marijuana growers waste millions a year on crap that doesn't make their buds any bigger or better. I laugh when I read people bragging about their hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of nutes. |

| | Thats why I love supernatural there fert comes as powders which go a long way, and they are 1 part nutes.
They have thought specifically about the large scale grower, it provides quality product for cheaply.
It a one step up from GH powders IMO. |
