if i put one plant in 3 gallon bucket and the root system gets to big for the bucket and i leave the plant in there; will the plant still flower when it comes time, even if that time is a month later and the plant doesnt grow for a month? how much of a yield will it be COMPARED to something with no root restrictions. 70%?? will the plant stay that healthy and just not grow or will it soon get sickly?

Any time you slow or stop growth you are stressing the plant which will ultimately stress or stunt its harvest .Could result in hermaphroditic plant.Best to never stress your girls.........

3 gals are more then enough for indoor grow

....cheetah - this is an outdoor grow though. :-/ today the plants are only anywhere from 6 inches tall to 14 inches tall. i have until sometime in october to harvest. what do u guys think. big enough or go bigger?

i had a 3 gallon or 12" pot and just moved up to a 5 gallon bucket.
my plant was so root bound it was unreal and to think i had just moved to the
3 gallon a month before.

so they arnt going to last long? how long you think if i just did it yesterday ... if u had to GUESS

it all depends on the heath of the plants root system.
i would also say it depends on your lighting and feeding programme to .
but hey I'm just a Nobe and dont know much but what I'm finding out here and on my own. i would say if it is growing as fast as mine is then i would give it a month and re pot it in a 5 gallon bucket. then leave it alone till you go to cutting it up and smoking it . the least amount of stress the better your plant will repay you.

thats kind of the rule of thumb that i was previously told and followed. i think i will use this 'theory'
