Screen Of Green....which is done by putting some sort of wire (or string, or whatever) over the plants and training them to grow horizontally along (and above) the screen by tying them to the screen. Most of the side branches will grow small colas instead of one or two large ones. Most often when you see yields posted on seed bank web pages telling you that you can expect 350g/sq meter (or whatever their number is) they are talking about a scrog.
actually, that's not quite accurate.

SOG - Sea Of Green, is a grow method that uses lots of plants close together that are gown tall and not wide, bottom branches are removed (lollipoping) and the main cola (top main branch) of each plant is matured and harvested.

ScrOG(Screen Of Green) is like a SOG(Sea Of Green) except that fewer plants are used in conjunction with a screen to train the branches along and fill the grow area with heavy top colas, hence its name, ScrOG or Screen of Green. The screen is simply a large wire mesh placed between your light and the plants.

Whats "not quite accurate"? It appears that my description of a Scrog is identical to yours. How you create that screen (whether it be wire mesh, horizontal strings, or whatever) makes no difference as long as you train the plants horizontally and allow the side branching, popcorn buds, etc to grow in to little colas.

As far as a SOG.....Whether you *remove*or lollipop the bottom branches in a SOG matters not as far as the description goes. I go to 12/12 with 8" clones (and very little branching) and end up with a Sea of Green. I may have 2 small colas on one plant but just because I didn't cut off EVERY branch and leave 1 main cola doesn't mean it doesn't qualify as a SOG.
