check this thing out; you plug your appliance (or power strip) into this and it measures how much electricity you are using in kilowatt hours; you then look on your elec bill to see what your local company charges per kw hr and multiply and there you go; you'll know exactly how much your setup is costing you to run...

Yup! Great little device. Great to see how much stuff uses while its 'off' too. (anything with a remote, still uses juice while off) I got mine at harbor freight for $10 cheaper. (gee, a hydro shop overcharging? )
