Hey all,

I noticed these banana shaped things on some of the buds of one of the plants in the closet today. I did some research and it looks like they're not hermies, but something else. These growths appear to be male in gender, but NOT the typical male balls you see on a hermie. I have some close ups of the growth on the bud and one of several of them extracted.

The part I could use help with is this-I cut it already because I don't want the rest fo the closet polinated, but should I save these "pollen bananas"? It came from a pure sativa strain that is good, but not great. One of the things I have heard is that these little bananas can be used to selectively polinate a few branches and you will get feminised seeds? I saved about 10 of these in a baggie so I'm wondering if I should chuck them or save them?

I've seen hermies firs hand tho, and it just doesn't look the same. Usually there are a few balls around the nodes of the buds when I have seen them. These are like growing right out of the calyx, different.

No fix, pull and smoke It's early, but I dont' want to risk missing one and having the rest of the plants go to seed.

The calyxes are covering the balls, you have a hermi!

intersex is what its called in the growers bible, there is a difference. This pollen is suppose to produce females. But like i said, i just read this out of the growers bible and have no actual experience with these "banana" things.

I was thinking it might be something like this more than a true hermie. Too bad the strain wasn't something better or the banana sacks could be worth using to make some seeds with another strain.
