Hmm.. hold on a minute...
Are you thinking of sue'ing the landlord / landlady because she violated your rights or are you trying to make a few bucks?
If you really fell that the landlord violated your rights, then don't scrimp on your legal advice, you need representation to give your case the best chance of success. I do agree that you don't wan't any money you recieve being totally used up in paying a lawyer, but the way to handle that is this; If your lawyer is as confident as he sounds that you have a valid case, then he should put his money where his mouth is & agree that his fees will be charged on top of whatever compensation is awarded you, therefore guarganteing that you recieve 100% of the money. Ask him to do that, & if he doesn't agree
then do as you please....
