I got my 150w hps there fore 35 bucks!!!! ship included. And i didnt think anything of the amount of lumens at the time i bought it, it was my fist light, but i found out that its 17.500 lumen outoput was top of the line, the highest OP i have seen yet. (its a RAB security light, so keep RAB in mind as well)

Im gonna veg them 24hours then...Is this a mixed debate,or is 24hours of light BETTER?Dont plants grow in the dark?Or do anything in the darK?Do you think I can veg jsut as good with a couple CFL's than with a T-5??

Studies show that plants grow vertically at night. This light debate has been going on for a long time I have seen a lot of grows and 24 hours of light does not seem any better than 18 so I prefer to save electricity.

I did both...24/7 and then about 1 week before flower, 18/6...believe it or not, during the 18/6 mine had a growth spurt.

I start mine off with 24/0 till they hit 3 gallon pots then 18/6 till I flower them with 13/11...hope this helps...btw...plants in nature get dark...so it is only natural.

DAMN honkeytown, you make me excited about havin a 150w

thx bro. when I bought it I expected to get another 400 watter and just use the 150 for vegging....but then decided to just see how the 150 goes to save some money for a while with these damn gas prices. anyway I am still gonna get a 400 for flowering on my next run through and keep a few mothers and clones vegging under the 150...we will see how it goes. it's my first indoor grow so space isnt something I have dealt with before. plus these are bagseeds from some reg i had around christmas...so next time I will get some good seeds . but yeah....the 150 goes a long way. I got mine from lowes for 100 bucks or so....made a reflector for it from some sheet metal then wired an extension cord to it and plugged it into my timer...i am surprised how well it has been workin for me....and I will keep you updated...I also threw in a few pics for ya...three I couls find that show my lighting setup fairly well. I think the tubes I have in there help a lot too....so don't be afraid to use other lights

well lets see. i started flowering the indica lookin girls on may 9th if I remember correctly...so I have a few more weeks...and the single cola seems to be a sativa that just won't finish up....I started flowering her on about april 9th so they should all be ready in a few weeks at about the same time...maybe 4 weeks...and thank you
