worms are the best thing for soil, and plants, but depends on if it is to be indoors or outdoors,

all my grows have been in the soil, and i must say the more worms u have got in the soil around the plant the more nutrients you have got in the soil, the more nutrients you got in the soil the bigger your yield will be, i like to dig a hole in the yard, take a heap of dirt from my compost pile fill up the hole with the dirt from the compost pile, i like to have a mound of compost pile about 18 inches above normal ground level so the roots of the plants can spread thru this for ages before travelling down to deep and hitting the clay bottom, once the plant hits clay it has died, i dunno if that has happened to anyone else but it has happened to me

Thanks for all the responses! What I'm planning to do is grow about 4 plants. This will be indoors in my condo and I'm doing all the planning right now. I'm curious about ordering seeds online, but I'm alittle scared of getting caught. I want to grow small plants, no taller than say 3 or 4 feet. I read the intro to growing, but I still have alot of questions. I can see putting or having worms around your plants if it was grown outdoors, but does that also work or apply for indoor growing...?

yeah man put about 5 or so in each soil pot (not hydro of course) and they should help aerate your soil and add good nutes ... any further questions?

if its in a garden then yea put worms in, but if your talking about putting worms in a pot it wont work and if it does not for long, the wroms would only live for a 2 weeks to a month tops, they wont have anything to eat, theirs not enough room for them in pots, not even 5 gallons pots, and they need food!!! I cant stress that enough, they probably wont poop much from lack of food, poop is worm castings, and this is what you want, you can start a small worm bin and arvest their castigs that works real well, and its cheap and easy to do, theirs a pretty good section on worm bins in the grow FAWs, the grow faqs are a nice place!
