| | when it comes time to harvest | | i have got a few different questions i wanna ask here and hopefully get a lotta of different opinions from a lotta different from there growing experinces.
when the plant is harvested and is ready for drying what would be the best way of drying the plant whole??? i have heard from a few people just pull the plant straight outta the ground and hang it upside down in the cupbard, from other people i have heard of boiling the roots in a pot full of boiling water with sugar for a while before hanging to dry, have also heard from other people to just cut the main stem bout 4-6 inches above ground level so the mother plant can regrow again,
any information from all of you would be muchly appreciated |

| | The most common seems to be cut good size branches and hang upside down..and cure in jars after.
My friend did the whole root ball....what a mess....I'd use molasses during budding to fatten them up....read the FAQ on harvesting & curing.....also flushing....
With your extended growing season you might be able to re-veg, or at least finish all the bud growth...??
LUCK

| | i was actually kinda hopin for reveg so when next season comes round i got nice big head start, but when my plants are in the veg stae i leave them from anywhere from 2 to 4 months dependin on the season and weather, all my plants start there life in the soi, yes thats right i dont germinate the seed, i just put it straight into the soil, i keep tjem in pots for the first few weeks of there life until they are ready to be transplanted into several diff patches around my yard of which i have prepared for them

| | I just cut mine at the stem. Trimmed the leaf material off and placed in a cup for later use. Kept all of the bud attached to the stem and hung it in my closet with a fan on it. Does it mater if it is left in light or dark? Just trying to get a few days of open air drying before I put it in a jar. |

| | I cut the stem right above the soil. Enough to leave a nice handle on it for trimming the leaves. I'm no pro though. I just chopped my first official plant. The other chop was pre-mature and hermie so I don't count that.
As I cut I thought, I should have let it reveg but it was such a weak plant the entire time I don't think it would have revegged. I do plan on trying that with one of my chops though. |
