On the same note if your going to discount the information another member has given be good enough to give a reason for your statement, supplying facts to support your position would be nice also.

For re-vegging I am certain you cut the top of the plant off. Leave a few nodes and even the buds on the bottom. This way the plant has leaves to absorb light. Of course, you'll lose a little bud since it will dye off during re-veg but if you are successful that minuscule amount of loss can amount to much much more gain.

this should, in theory, also top the plant, no?

well i normally tip my plants anyway, so i guess when this plant is ready for harvesting i'll just harvest a few crowns and leave the rest so the plant can keep on producing, what is the longest time anyone here has ever kept a plant going for??? i mean like has any one just kept cutting off crowns and letting there plants grow all year round or maybe even for couple of years????

Contrary to the negative comments about molassess given in this thread its useage can be benificial & is based around semi factual evidence, the evidence i speak of is more of a common sense issue based on what nutrients & micro nutrients plants use in each specific growth cycle.

The reason i say "semi factual" is that there is so very little real scientific information regarding the growing of marijuana that what little is out there is steep in myth & snake oil.

Black Strap Molasses is very rich in Potassium with Potassium being the K in the NPK rating of your plants fertilizer or nutrients,Potasium is also a major nutrient that plants need, there is no doubt that marijuana needs Potassium to thrive.

There is also much reason to believe that the sugars in the Molasses are taken in by the plant, ive witnessed this 1st hand in my grows, nothing scientific mind you but simple visual comparisons, buds that were fed Black Strap Molasses were laid side by side with buds that were not fed Molasses under black light, the buds that were fed molasses had a different tint to their overall color, allmost a smokey dusk color or a resin color like honey oil that was not visable under normal lighting, the non treated buds did not exibit this, there is no doubt in my mind that the plants do take in the Molasses & distribute it to the buds.

Weather it made any difference in overall weight i cant say,in order to determine that it would take alot more work than im prepared to do,as for the taste difference i think i taste a hint of extra sweetness to the buds fed Molasses but that could very well be a placebo being that i know which bud is which.

The use of Molasses durring flowering stage is a pretty common thing & is widely used,i just picked up 2 more bottles last week for my grows, after what i saw in my own grow rooms i will always use Molasses durring budding.

Something to keep in mind, using Molasses durring budding in soil grows is along the same lines as using carbo load or some bud enhancer liquids reccomended for hydroponic grows, same principal different delievery method.

There is a flat out ton of information about the use of Black Strap Molasses on this site & many members who use it,there are threads all over the place here about the very subject.

Here are some recent threads on the topic.

I've used molasses im my soil grows and it seems to work well. The only thing else I add in the flower cycle is Purple Maxx. I get 3 ounces of dried weed off of 3 foot plants.
