2 week old plant with brown, burnt lower leaves... do I cut them off?

I accidentally burned this sprout by mixing fertilizer in the soil at the time of planting. I did so before realizing it was unnecessary and harmful. Will it help the plant to cut off the lower dying leaves? No one wanted to reply in my journal so I'm posting here. Kinda need an answer. I dont want to fuck up this sprout any more!

Note: While the other leaves and new growth look much better now, the lower leaves are even worse than when this pic was taken (getting brown/yellow and dry).
