wtf man, no worm tokie tokie for me

As far as my time here is concerned, I've never seen anything about "thc worms." I think someone may just have bugs and is trying to pull one over on you. Finding out the real name of these worms would help.

Bought some stuff a long time back that had what I thought was catapillars, might have been worms . But anyway, that shit was gross!! Half of them were still alive and crawling around the batch.

The stuff was cheap, only payed about 300 for 5 lbs or so.

ate one if you were interested on how the taste... They taste like SHIT.

EDIT: Here's some quicky info i found..
First a thread regarding this :THC Worms? - 420 Lounge
Second an article from high times: THC WORM?
There’s been talk around our town about a “THC worm.” Is there such a thing?
    3timesaday

    Dear 3times,
They might be talking about corn earworms. They’re usually green with stripes. They’ve taken a real liking to cannabis. Corn earworms and other caterpillars burrow into buds, usually near the top. They consume plant juices by chewing the main stem and also eat foliage. Identify damage from caterpillars by the abundance of droppings they leave at and near wounds. The droppings accumulate in between buds. Droppings fall out when the buds are hung to dry. Look below and you’ll see lots of little poops.
From 1/2-inch to 4 inches long, caterpillars and loopers are cylindrical, with feet; they’re often green but can be virtually any color from white to black. While caterpillars have sets of feet the entire length of their bodies, loopers have two sets of feet at either end of their bodies.
This is generally a concern for outdoor crops, though it’s becoming more of a problem indoors. Check for caterpillars by spraying a plant with pyrethrum aerosol and shaking the leaves a couple of minutes later. The quick knockout effect of the spray causes caterpillars to fall from the shaken plant.

    Here is the article
Sorry for replying to an old thread but I found it while trying to find what kind of worms I have. I think it is the same worm as the original poster. I picked some ditchweed yesterday, it has crystals on it so it looks smokeable. The buds and stems have worms in them. The little worms are white, but the bigger ones are pink. A friend told me it is a THC Worm, he said as the worm eats the bud, it stores the thc in its body, and will get you very high if you smoke it.

It looks like the "Rose stem sawfly" on this page:

I'm not sure if that's it because I can only find pictures of white ones, no pink.
The reason I'm concerned is that I have 5 good bud plants growing about 20 feet away from these plants, and I'm sure they are worm infested too.

Maybe there is worms that attack cannabis. This probably means they consume and have large amounts of THC in their bloodstream (I'm not a bug expert, maybe bloodstream isn't the right word.) but this sure as hell doesn't mean im gonna smoke a worm to get high. Some interesting info though.

grow outdoors and find out first hand how real they are.

we call them night moths. they fly in at night and lay eggs in the tightest bud clusters. i assume they do this for protection. if you inspect closely in the mornings you can find newly laid eggs.
once the egg hatches the tiny caterpillar starts to burrow into the center stalk. the eggs are pin head sized so the newly hatched caterpillar can't be much bigger.
i usually spot an area by seeing 1 dead fan leaf on the bud. follow the dead leaf and there it is. only thing by this time it is at least 1/2" inch long and has desroyed the bud by eating the stalk and pooping every where.
then any moisture causes rot to set in.
i use ladybugs, pirate bugs and praying mantis to combat them. they usually appear in the fall. about the time of bud ripeness.
as far as smoking them. HELL NO!! i pop them and feed them to the fish!!
my wife will be keeping an eye on this account while i am away. if you would like to correspond with me simply PM her and she will pass along my contact info.
