Top of planter temperature 90 (about 7" below inline 3 huge 105w CFL's bulbs).

The room has good air flow.
can fan 177CFM's Exhaust
4" fan used for intake
20" tower fan - oscillating air over the top of the planters.

Should I be concerned with the higher top on top of the planters? I would think so that is why Iam posting. If i should worry Ideas to get the temp down?

i would try to get temps 70 to 80, and if your having probs now, whats it going to get like in the summer, when the temps get hotter outdoors, that will bring the temps up in your grow room.
try to vent air out .
what are you growing in closet/tent?.
and how many plants have you got and how far on are you?."vegg/12/12?.

Just starting Greming seeds and dry running with some herbs cat nip and what not. It is a 3x3 tent. Summer comes I will have the AC on, but now it is like 75ish for a day time temp outside. had light on 24/7 cut to 18/6 to let the tent cool.

you can keep the CFL's that close?

Room temp ~75
tent temp ~79
tent below lights 7" temp ~90

Air vented with a 177CFM can fan and a carbon filter.
