Does anyone know how much of a loss in weight occurs from when harvested bud is just cut to when its dried?

It'll lose about 75% of its weight.

this isnt exact. not every plant has the same moisture as another when pulled. ive seen it loose only 40% before.

Yeah, you're right. It isn't exact. Alot of factors.

Id say close to 60%-75% varying on the grow and Id assume strain.

used to be always something between 65-75% for me which is logical since the green bud on the plant consist of about 75-80% of water and a bit salts besides the plant material and the thc

I usually see very close to 75% water weight in fresh buds. Seems like buds left to flower a bit longer than usual (10wks vs 8wks) lose slightly less weight in drying, but only slightly, perhaps closer to 70% water weight lost in drying.
