You cannot take a cutting and throw it in a freezer, it will not live. You also cannot throw it in the fridge, it will not live. If you want to delay your plants life then i highly suggest just growing from more seed, its natures way of keeping plants forever. Grey poupon is mustard for eating, I don't suggest putting cuttings into it.

You could clone out a cutting and give it low dose of ferts and low light levels to keep it small until you are ready to get after it.

Unless your a Cryogenic engineer, cold does not keep plants alive. Every year in nature all the MJ plants die, only their seed survives to keep the genetic line going.

What wait. I've done it and learnt it on this site! Not freezing them but, I have had clones in the crisper for up to 2 months with no problems reviving them. like 20 of them all lived. I do the bag method without the inch or 2 of water. I just open the bag every few days and spray them with a mister.

You also see flowers at stores (like Wegmans or Topps stores, probably any big super markets) that are in coolers to make them last longer. The frig will work. Many have done it. I personal haven't, but learned about it on this site. I know there is a how to with pictures of the cuttings after sevreal weeks in the frig. It can be done. I agree freezing them would kill them, but the cool temps of the frig will make them last a long time with out killing them.

I don't see why not. The guy in that link said he kept them 8 weeks like that. I would imagian the longer you keep them the longer it takes to root them.

I was reading my Grow Bible eBook a few weeks ago and forgot to bookmark the page where it says that you can put clones in the fridge no colder than 40 degrees. I wanted to try it but haven't seen it done. Good lookin!

Cell damage people and stress stress you may end up with some hermies just make a clone a mom like nodrama said endless clones whenever. cold will damage any plant but slows decay at our nursery we would never ever do any such thing cold is for keeping flowers fresh not growing. mums and cold wheater plants like it 40 pot is tropical I'd just root on and clone it to save a strain just my 2 cents...it probably works but...stress=hermies

Right! I wouldn't do it with a strain that I know had hermie traits, I don't like growing anything with hermie traits, just cause my style, lst,topping,training etc. I'm sure there are some badass strains that have hermie traits and out do any other as long as you keep them happy! The strain I stored in the fridge went 8 weeks and still rooted fine, of course they took longer but speed wasn't an issue.
