Quick question for the growers here. Has anyone ever added cloning gel or root stimulant to the water they used when dampening the paper towel or the growing medium when trying to germinate seeds?

I'm wondering if it would benefit the germination, ensuring better, quicker root growth.

LOL. fist off...love the avatar. Nice. And secondly...I don't know but it's a really interesting thought. If no one gets back to you on this I may just try it myself just to see what happens. It might simply be to strong for the baby root and seed to take...OR it might work really well and germinate a seed in half the time. hmmm...good post either way.

Heh, I thought that picture was quite the find.

That was my main concern, that the chemicals would interfere with it or overpower it somehow. Interested to see if anyone has messed around with it though. My friend would definitely experiment with this, just not anytime soon.

the root gel might be too strong. I would try it out... just don't breathe it!

I don't think it would do anything beneficial for a seed but it never hurts to try after all everything starts with an experiment.
