Im growing them in a box under cfls, I usually put them out in the sunlight for a few hours though


it was looking perfect today, I put it out in the sunlight and came back about 2 hours later to this

the leaves are curling upwards and sideways no discoloration however, the sunlight is intense and its about 80c outside, I moved it back in the box to be safe, its also happening to another plant but not as bad just one leaf is curling upwards


anyone know what this means? what should I do!

need more background info on the grow to be able to help.

water schedule, do you spray the plants (foliar feeding)?
are you giving it nutes?

I just water when the soil is dry usually once a day (rarely twice), the soil was pretty drty when i noticed this so i watered, i dont foliar feed, and no nutes, however I think the soil has nutes but I doubt this is nute burn considering the seedling is 10 days old and nothing happens until now and there is no discoloration

could it be sun burn? as the sun is extremely intense right now and it happened an hour or two after i put it out in the sun...

the biggest sign is the leaves are curling UPWARDS i ont know what this means

ive come to a conclusion that it was heat stressed because it was about 85f outside or just sun burnt, anyway to save it now? its only getting worse

Just bring them in somewhere cooler where they will still get the sun - I bet they will recover unless the tips are crispy (and even then, they still may).

ima just leave this plant in the box until it recovers(if it does) as its alot cooler there and has a fan

I would mix up a 1/4 of power thrive or super thrive and add to your next water---if you ar using tap water make sure to let it sit 24hours before use(let the chlorine evap out) use an aquarium pump with air stones to add oxygen to the water--make sure the water is ph'd to 6.3 also wait to water till the top inch of soil is dry--then water till 1/3 of the water comes out of the bottom. You should never have to water every day(to much for such small plants. before you water take a spray bottle and spray only the soil-enough to just get the top layer of soil wet, then wait 5-10mins before you water--you can also add 1 to 2 drops of liquid dish soap to the water(ivory works well)this helps as a wetting agent for the soil. The perfect temp is 78 but 85 won't kill your plant--just make sure to keep the temps close to the 78. make sure you have some air moving around your area. you should be able to add nutr in a week or so--start with a 1/4 of the label and water every other time with nutrs. If you use RO water you will need to add a cal/mag supp/1/2 strength with every water works well. If you don't care about true organics or running benif,enzymes or fungi, you can add h202 to your water at 3%--this will get more oxygen to your roots. hope this helps----your plants will take a little time but they will bounce back. good luck
