was wondering if its possible for the gov. or police to even look at this site and see all these pictures and track someone down using their ip and showing up at their house. is this possible? and are the ppl that post pics on here in any danger of it? i have already posted pics, but the mom thinks its not good idea haha.... the mom.. haha.. yea.. she knows haha

possible but improbable. I wouldn't worry about it. That being said I would probably be hesitant to put up photos of a warehouse with a 1000+ plants in it..

Yea if you're posting pics of fields/warehouses of pot, then you may be in trouble. But that would be moronic on so many levels. Anybody growing less than 50 plants is fine. No doubt they could track you with your IP, but it's not worth their effort.

That being said, don't be the idiot who takes pictures with his face in the goddamn picture with his plants/bud. THAT would be some rather self-incriminating evidence.

No but seriously, don't post any names, locations, pics of your face, outdoor pics of landmarks, crops larger than a standard closet, and don't agree to meet anyone anywhere, or sell anyone anything. Don't brag about hook-ups, selling weed, or doing/selling harder drugs.

I'd say a good percentage of us are recreational or medical users and LEO's, for the most part, aren't interested in wasting time with people who can't produce a bigger fish to fry. Not to mention that some of us live in other countries, the internet isn't exclusive to the U.S. after all.

If the cops did want to know everything about your account here they could do so without informing anyone but the hosting company. They would simply get a warrant for a copy of this site's database and then they would have every RIU users' nick name, email address, ip address, and password. I highly suggest that no one use the same password for RIU as they do for all their other accounts.
