i agree with you monkey man, after using both mylar and panda, panda film is better; even tho mylar can be trippy to work in but its too much of a bother

you can find a bunch in my garbage can. it's out on the curb. i just tore all mine down. i'm going with flat white paint. much easier to maintain.

Very true fdd, But I use the Panda film to cover my windows, and to cover my doorway with a zipper and plywood at the top which have my vents. This way I do not have to cut holes in the walls or ceiling. I could tear the doorway down, and just shut the door and look normal in about 2-3 minutes. This is my extra bedroom. Other then that all my walls are just the normal bedroom white color.

Panda film is very nice for makeing a small cheap room in a large area. At first i had split the bedroom in half. One half was growing. The other half was my computer room. I made that dividing wall out of staples, business cards, and Panda film, With a Zipper for the doorway. I live by the visqueen zipper.

things i found wrong with mylar:

stains easy.
seems to be "clingy". i think when i get spots of powdery mildew it sticks to the mylar.
must be stretched and laid perfectly flat or you get bright spots. i experienced this just this last run. my oscillating fan would cause it to flutter and i could see bright spots of light moving across my plants.
hard to dispose of. i had to throw away a bunch the other day. i kept stuffing it in the garbage can and it kept trying to open up and pop back out. i had visions of waking up to find it on my front lawn after it fell off the dump truck. lol


things i found good about mylar:

very reflective.
easy to cover large areas in minimal amount of time and labor.
easily replaced.
covers everything and can help prevent light leaks.
cost efficient.
looks really cool, especially with some camera flash in the background.

This is what I have been using cuz I havent been able to get any mylar either. I use that "foil" type gift wrapping paper like this:


Just use the reverse side and Its been working just fine for me. cheaper too to boot. cant beat that.
