You sorta break the stem of a weed plant in its vegetive growth stage that when it heals it will grow a second branch??As well as, is it better to cut the water leaves off a plant than to leave them on?

Water leaves? I've never heard that term before, which leaves would be considered the water leaves?

I'm pretty sure, when you break the stem it's just s'posed to encourage the lower branches to grow. when you cut off the top 2 more will take it's place.
