    Default Spider Mites

IDENTIFY: The spider mite is the most common pest found on indorr marijuana plantsand causes the most problems. To a newbies, they are hard to spot, spider mites have eight legs. Find microsopic spider mites on the bottom of the leaves. However, their telltale signs of feeding, yellowish white spots, on the tops of leaves are easy to see. Careful inspection reveals tiny spider webs on stems and under leaves as the infection progess’s. A maginifying glass will help you see the yellow white two spotted, brown or red mites and their clear eggs. Indoors the most common is the two spotted spider mite. After the they fuck like rabbits females are fertilized for life and reproduce 80% female and 20% male eggs, females will lay about 100 eggs. (poor bitch)

Damage: Spider mites suck life giving sap from marijuana plantscausing over loss and stunting of growth. Leaves are poked with suck hole marks in yellow from failed to produce chloraphyl. The marijuana plant will loose partial to full function (which means your marijuana plantsare fucked) Leaf yellowing and drop. Once a plant is overrun with spider mites the infestation pregresses rapidly.

In simple words if you get mites and don’t catch them you are screwed.

How to control Spider Mites: Be clean. This is the most important first step to spider minte control. Keep the grow room tools spotless and dis-infect your tools. Mother marijuana plantsoften have spider mites, Spray mothers often with miticide’s including once three days before cuttins. Once you become infested the entire grow room will have to be stripped down and clean. YOU DO NOT WANT THESE THINGS 

Good luck happy growing… Im off to go roll a joint (maybe even write an article on it)

I got them when I got some clones from a friend. They really suck bad. And are hard to get rid of. I started out with lady bugs and that knocked out alot of them but didnt get rid of them. Then I bought some fruit safe bug spray from walmart. That didnt work either. I ended up getting a couple foggers from the local hydro shop. Used them 3 weeks in a row and havent seen any since. What a pain in the ass.

Were they pyrethrin foggers? I haven't heard of foggers working for mites, it's good to know. Most folks end up having to spray the plants to get rid of them. Floramite is a good miticide, but it's expensive. It has some residual action, too. I would recommend washing your plants well before harvest if you spray with any nasty stuff.

Neem oil is the best natural spray for pests.

Its called Doktor Doom. Contains 0.4% pyrethrins and 2.0% piperonyl butoxide. Hope that helps. I was told I could fog the flowers with no side effect. Hmm maybe thats why I got so stoned off of it. lol.

2 days ago i got spider mites for sure. i had the red mites and i saw one with 2 spots on it. i got it from my garden for flowers outside. i didnt notice them until right after i put it in. i didnt take much soil only took enough to cover the top last inch of the pot. i probably have about 20 if that. not much. i have good eyes and trust me i was looking. i heard they like moisture so i let the soil get bone dry for about a day and let my grow room get to 102 degrees. yeah i know. i also heard they dont always come up and stay to feed on the roots so i dug around the plant to look at the roots and didnt spot any. could this have killed them?

Hey guys, about a week into my current grow I saw a few mites on the floor and thought nothing of it. I had left a jug of water out, uncapped, and the next week when I was checkng on my girls, I noticed thousands of these things had fallen into the jug and died. And when I inspected my room, there was no trace of those bastards.

Anyways I was thinking maybe because they like humid environments, the combination of a 1000 watt bulb and open jug of water might have seemed perfect to those mites. Well it's been 3 weeks and I haven't noticed anymore

Soo, does this mean that hydro growers have less of a chance of spider mites? (because there is no dirt), or more of a chance of spider mites due to the obvious humidity?
