What does root bound mean? Read about it in a couple of posts havnt figure it out. Is it good or bad? How do I know if my plants are root bound? Thanks in advance for the info

root bound is when a plant has been growing in a pot and the root structure has outgrowen the space provided for the pot.
Not a good thing for where is the new growth supposto to go. not good for the water will run threw not allowing plant to eat. not good not good not good.
and easy to tell.... how much plant is hanging out of the bottem of the pot.
roots NEVER should be exposed to light

Thanks for the info. I am new to growing and I have my gilrs in a 10"( Top ) x 13" ( height )growing pot. Than should be plenty of room right?

1 plant. 75% indica going to bud at 18" roughly depending on how the look.
