quick question guys, since males contain thc (although less than females) can they be used to make hash after harveseting them during early flowering stages? cheers

Hash is made from the tricomes (crystals) that are on the short "sugar leaves" and on the buds of the female plants. The trricomes are produced by the females as a method of getting the male's pollen to stick to the buds. I just throw the males away.

some people make ganja butter from males but i find that its not worth the time or effort

toss the males quickly, not enough thc to bother with. cos you DON'T wanna take any chances with stray pollen pollenating your females. and after dealing with the males i suggest you even change clothes before dealing with your ladies cos pollen CAN travel on your clothing and onto your ladies.

I would take the male's along with any clippings you've saved from your grow, you did save them right? (Every time I clip leaves, I save them for this)
Place it all into a blender and blend, as you are blending add some isopropyl alcohol, the purer the better, where I live the best I can get is 91%, but they do make a 99% too. Add enough to cover the plant matter. Get out your coffee filter, place over a bowl and slowly pour it into the filter. Now be careful you dont want any to spill over the top of the filter.
At this point what I do is, I try to close off the top of the filter, than squeeze the bottom to get every last drop, dont squeeze too hard though, as you'll rip open the filter if you do. Once you've finished this process, simply set aside the bowl for about 24 hours, the iso will evaporate, and what is left will be some very potent hash oil, throw a chunk into bowl & enjoy!
I've done this several times and always successful, however my 1st attempt, I'll never forget, the taste was oh so sweet, I loved it!!!!

hmh.. i dont realy know how to make hash... i know when my crop is harvested i will make it right but all i do know it just pick off some unneeded leaves from my females and grind them up a bit.. them put it in the freezer for like 30 min.. and grind som more.. then after somhow it turns a greenish black i squese it together... i make it into an little block.. square shhapped... thrn i put it in some tinfoil.. them compress it with my fingers.. then i put it on the bulb of my night lamp so it will heat up for like 10 min.. then i compress it more... then i have a little block of shitty hash:P doesnt taste very good but its a goood strong smoke;P

I made hash oil from my males and i got just a little calm from smoking it. Then I made some hash oil from leaves when lollypopping my females and that knocked me to the couch for a good half hour.

I read something many years ago about putting celophane around the male buds then smoking the pollen that accumulates to the celophane bag. I doubt it is very potent, but novel none the less.
