I think there are a few ways of looking at it... i hope you don't mind my sharing my thoughts about it.
First, I will be the first to say that just because there is no evidence for it doesn't necessarily mean there is no link between the moon and plant growth. And there seems no doubt that plants minimally have adjusted their photoperiods to adapt to moonlight so plants, in at least one way, have been influenced by the moon indirectly. So in the future, we may find more links.
Second, while I do not choose to believe in things without evidence, or at least I try not to, that is only one way of thinking and may not be right for others to view the world this way. Especially considering I could easily be mistaken in my interpretation of the evidence.
And another way to look at things - and this is really my preferred method - look at what we do know. From seed to budding plant and just the facts surrounding photosynthesis are amazing with or without lunar influences don't you think? I mean the Sun is arguably far more interesting to study and learn about than the moon (though as an amateur astronomer i enjoy them both). And the idea that something like marijuana can convert dirt, water, sunlight and air into beautiful greenery and then into an amazingly intricate bud that we can smoke and it alters are mind and alleviates some health problems... well i don't know that is pretty damned amazing enough to me!
anyway sorry for the long-winded post...
