This particular model, and theres not alot of difference in ballast models, i know this from buying them! You have five options for wiring shown by the wires in the pic that are pointing towards the top. The options are, and I'll go by color to make this easy for people who cant quite understand simple facts.

A purple w/ white stripe wire - 480 volt
A black wire - 277 volt
A solid purple wire - 240 volt
A orange wire - 206 volt
and last but not least a RED WIRE! 120 VOLT!

The ballast is wired to handle all volt loads in the ranges, the only difference being which one gets connected to the power source and which 4 don't!

Let me know if any of this starts sounding familiar buddy...

So lets put it in lamens terms here, YOU DONT NEED 480 VOLT! BUT FROM JUST CALLING AND ASKING MY ELECTRICIAN FRIEND, I NOW KNOW THAT THEY CAN RUN 480 INTO HOMES JUST THE SAME AS 220, SMARTY PANTS.

Sorry, if i once asked if a Metal Vapor light could be used in veg or something. My Bad. But that still does not make you any smarter tetra. Tetra, how many rails are in 110 volts? how many or in 220 volt? and how about 440? If you answer this question, I will still think you had to google it, just like you have done everything else. Not one of my Engineering courses taught me about which lights worked best for growing weed. I think they should give me my money back. And i had over 20 years in the field with my bags on before i got my Engineering degree. I did not want to be a sorry SOB like you at 55 years old huffing shit up and down scallfolding. You know, the worst contractors and workers out there are usually the ones who are telling everyone how much they know, and that they would not be saying something if they did not know it all.

The first thing I do when a sub-contractor shows up on one of my sights, and starts spewing how great he is and how they do fantastic work is to put a notation down to pay extra close attention to this contractors work. Usually if they are trying to talk people into believe how great he is, then they truely do not believe it themselfs.

In other words tetra, I would bet you do a piss poor job of slopping Plaster. Well, maybe you do a very nice job at it.. I mean Fuck, you can almost train a monkey to do it.
