I've been using the new and improved search function, however, I'm coming up dry so I'm thinking that I'm not using the right search terms. So! My question is this: Is there any way to reliably or even generally determine variety of Cannabis based upon any seed or other features of plants not yet grown?

I'm doing my first grow, bagseeds, MAY be Indica, but then he also called it Sativa, which seem to be two different things, yeah? I've staggered my grow, may germinate another small group from the same batch of seeds I have available. But, since I don't know what strain I have I think I'm working a little behind the curve, because I keep reading of different ways to handle different strains. I don't know shit about the different strains or varieties, so, just point me in a direction and I'll do the reading.

with bag seed you have to wait but if it doesn't have alot of crystals when its about a month into flowering toss it! Bag seed can work well though depends on what the bud looked like. sometimes good out door growers miss a male plant and it cause a female to have seeds the can be great. but also wild outdoor weed can be real hempy like a tree with leaves but no buds

indica has thin leaves, taller plant.

sativa has fatter leaves, shorter plant.

no i think your wrong... inidcas are shorter and bushier with fat leaves

sativa have thin long leaves and grow taller

indica=body stone
sativa= head high

Thanks, van. I have done a bit, but what I get is really more information about the type of high you get and how to grow the variety, not how to determine what you may have. All I know is it gets me high without getting me too high (yes, for Sm, there is such a thing). It could do a better job of killing the pain in my hips, but then nothing I've taken except large doses of high quality vodka have take away the pain in my hips.

indica is what you want. what ive heard is that sativa makes you "pass out" and get all sleepy, indica can be more of a body high which is what i think would be good for your pain.
