I've bought from seedsdirect.to before, and they used to come in a cd case, so the customs form said it was a cd and they left it alone. I just ordered some new seeds and they only came in a peice of cardboard. The envelope that the cardboard was in didn't have a customs form on it. Isn't it impossible for mail from the UK to make it to the states without going through customs? Maybe I'm just a little paranoid, but I can't help thinking that LEO passed it through customs to make it to my house so I can grow them, THEN they bust me. Any thoughts?

are you referring to that little sticker on the back of the from? the customs declaration?

Dude let's be honest here; LEO couldn't care less about little you and your 20 plants. Start growing fields of the shit, and then they may come knocking on your door... And if you are in fact growing commercially, then I apologize for the asshole-ish assumption.

Also, this would never be an issue if you followed the most important rule of seed-buying: never send the seeds to your current or near-future grow location.

i believe that is just a declaration, declaring what in the package. also saying that it can be opened by customs if they deemed necessary.

personally I think this has little if anything to do with it. If you get the seeds one way or another, either shipped to you, or your mother, or your sick buddy in uganda, I still think they could track you down if they wanted to. Plus, in my opinion Rule #1 - DON'T TELL ANYONE outranks Rule #1 of seed-buying. I only live in one place, and shipping it anywhere else means someone else has to know.

It didn't have the declaration on it, that's the point. I would be less freaked out if it said it went through customs and still made it here, but the form wasn't on the envelope at all. And I know seedsdirect probably knows what they are doing, but it still doesn't help my paranoia out.

not all have the declaration....some companies do. some dont!

I just thought it had to have it. If it came in from another country I thought it had to go through customs.

Mailing paper mail, or an envelope of paper work if you will, doesn't require a customs form. The reason for the cardboard is so that the mail carier doesn't think it is anything but papers, other wise they would have to declare it as a cd or somthing of that nature. I am sure that inside your cardboard was a little round plastic cirle filled with seeds and the name writen in black marker, right?
