    Question Is 2600 Lumens Enough Light To Grow The Magical Herb?

    I Have 3 Seedling Under 2 13 Watt Cfl Bulbs In A Glass Reflected House Lamp Those 2 Together Equal 1700 Lumens Plus An Additional Grow Bulb At 900 Watts So Is 2600 Lumens Enough Light For My Plants? I Have My Lights About 6 Inches Over The Top Of My Tallest Plant

    no, with cfl's close is better, 6in they're gonna stretch. get more light....maybe 6-8 26w cfls

    yeah get larger CFLs and put them 1-2 inches away.

    I Have A Regular Walgreens Plant Bulb Which Is 900 Lumens= 60 Watts. My Two Cfls Are 13 Watts Each And Are 850 Lumens A Piece, That Is All The Lighting I Have.

    I have two 105w CFLs (app. 800w incandescent total) within a few inches of a vegging Double Gum plant: so far I've seen no signs of heat stress. You can get those bulbs a LOT closer to your plants.

    DUDE WHERE CAN I BUY BIGGER CFL'S HOW MUCH DO THEY COST? i only got two 13 watt cfls of which i got from my girlfriends dad lightbulb stash and a plant grow bulb which i got from walgreens, i did buy a good spot gro sylvania grow bulb for 8 bucks but it blew out last night. i dont have much money so i use wat i get my hands on i do have a 250 halogen light but it gets so dam hotttt!!!

    What ever the highest lumen output is of the bulb...that's the most lumen's you will get. So if you have 5 1700 lumen bulbs...your still only getting 1700 lumen's, not 8500 lumen's. You can not add lumen's together.

    Do NOT use halogen.

    You can get the 42W cfl's from home depot, walmart...places like that.

    oh, i didnt know u couldnt add lumens... thanks for tellin me, it makes sense really and how much is the 42w cfl light bulbs?

    Your welcome. As for $$...i'm not sure...here in Canada they are about $12 a piece, but in the US probably about $5...lol.
