Anyone suppliment their HPS (400w enhanced spectrum) with 100w (5500k) Cfls during the stages of flowering? Any advantages? any personal experiences?

I'm using them as primary for finishing off a big mama that got too tall for the HPS in my grow room. She seems to be finishing on time. It's starting on week 7 and the bud is looking really nice.

why would you use a light with a color temp that high for flowering? Wouldn't you us one with a lower color temp, around 3500k?

read my question carefully before you respond plz. I mentioned in addition to an existing hps system (400w) and to be used for supplimental lighting during flowering.

Before I heard that giving a wide full spectrum might be beneficial during budding.

-thanks 420 penguin.

Anyone else have any feedback.?

to be fair, I don't know the exact frequency of my fluoros. I simply know that they are good for flowering.

Thanks for the concern but I'm pretty sure I read it as carefully as needed the first time.
Sorry for not specifying that my question didn't concern you. i shoulda replied to Penguin420's post. I was just asking Penguin why he was using light in that temp range for flowering, which he pretty much answered in his next post.

Thanks

Right, so I'm using Phillip's Plant and Aquarium bulbs out of Home Depot. I've got the Kelvin analysis in a link somewhere if you're really curious.

I am kinda curious. The only lights I've found at Home Depot that are suitable for growing are the 42 w cfls. And they only have the soft whites (low kelvin). Do you know what the lumen out put is for the ones you use?
