When I first got to chicago I bought some weed off this 20 year old... when I asked what strain it was he said "oh this is hydro, its a plant that grows underwater..." Lmao. Wonder if its the same dude??

'Hydro' is not a grade either. It is a name for a style of growing.

It is important because calling something 'hydro' or 'dro' is effectively meaningless. You can have fantastic hydroponically grown plants and you can have shitty hydroponically grown plants. The fact that a plant is hydroponically grown does not necessarily indicate quality.

Also, some people confusingly speak of "dro seed." This has even less significance, since all that matters about a seed is its genetics.

BLAh ur not getting it, if u were to just take a bagseed and grow it hydroponically, it would be...? called dro, and im sure no one in this forum is from the same area, so its called different things, ( the grade) so if u put a seed in hydro no matter wat it is it'll grow, and TAKE THE NAME OF THE STRAIN, but if its just a bagseed, ....it wont. it will just be called dro. so unless its a specific strain then it is gonna just be called dro. or goods or w/e the fuck the termanology of ur area is.

every strain is a specicfic strain. if you grow lowryder in hydro you will end up with lowryder. if you grow white widow in hydro you will end up with white widow. if you grow bagseed in hydro you will end up with bagseed.

and just so you know........at 20 years old you haven't been around weed that long. i started before you were born so..........

ok so if u put bagseeds in hydroponics its gonna still be called dirt weed right? but if u grow it hydroponically its alot better than it was, so then why would u call it that? and im not a moron i understand if u grow a strain its gonna still be that strian, cuz its a specific strain no matter how u look at it, its gonna take the name of it. unless its just a bagseed, no name for it, just a seed, so u grow it, smells great, u gonna still call it dirt? if it smokes better than when you've had u gonna still call it dirt?
