yes im new to this forum but not to growing nice budz for myself....i just moved into another house a few months ago and i could not wait to start my own garden of eden again, here's the scoop....i have 2 rooms to grow in one is a closet that is a lil over 4 ft wide 4 ft deep 7 ft floor to roof, in there i have started 50 seeds of some special spices lol. all now are roughly 3 weeks old, they are under 24hr light and have the baby 5 leave set goin on short bushy, now the other room is in the basement it is 8ft wide 6ft deep 7ft floor to roof, in there is where i think i should use 2 400watt mh room coverd in mylar done right not halfazzed only using dirt. now in the closet "1st" room i have 8 ballast with 2 four ft flos in each ballast so thats 16 flo tubes 40 watt each for growing my plants started in seed starters from walmart for a 1dollar. i let a good root start then transplanted into bigger plastic cups for they get around 8 to 12" inches tall then they go under 2 400watt mh, no hps available for me big lights for free. anyways im in this really to make money i want to save up 15thousand and be done i want some things that cost money i dont have my motto is if you cant pay cash you cant afford the sh+t i hate loans banks all that garbage all they do is take more of your money in the end. so i result to work and growing on the side, i wanna know how long you think it would take and suggestions on making lots of budz to sell in bulk i can get rid of it quick if i had it so, im wondering how much do u see possible with the space available and time, any ideas on the rooms set-up lemme know what you think. Are you planning on flowering with your 400w MHs? The room dimensions for your basement sound good enought just keep it to 1 plant per sq ft. You also have to think about air ventilation and stuff like that. You have to keep that room at at steady temperature and must make sure the smelll of that many plants wont get out of your house. Are your neighbors cool? If not you might want to get an odor remover. Take some exhaust tube and run it into an oder remover can. Good luck with everything!

dude thats great, I have the same philosiphy, if i dont have the cash, i can't afford whatever it is, no loans. i think you got a god start, but like the person before me said, there are still lots to consider, ventilation, temp, neighbors, light leaks?, smell. I'm not really sure about flowering using the MH lights, i may be wrong but i thought those would cause loose buds(which you really don't want if your trying to be a commercial grower). other than that it sounds like a good operation. i would say that it will take about 3 more months depending on how tall you allow them to get before you flower them, cause you said you've already got them started right? and the 3 months is at least, you can have a crop by then if nothing goes wrong, which rarely happens.... good luck buddy.

hey thanks for the input, heres the other thing i have pretty much unlimited lights like the mh cause i know ppl that know ppl and those ppl have alot of thm if you walk into walmart or home depot and look up those big lights up there is what i have 400watt bulbs, what would be smarter taking out the flos in the closet and putting one 400 mh in there and use the flos underneath for cloning i dunno i have not grown at this high of a level before only 10 is the most grown at a time, im trying to get a good game plan down so when it comes to doing this i want to make the best of it...

I'm sure you've already prepaired for this as an investment, so be prepared to spend money to make money. Make your checklist and check it twice. I'm guessing this will all be soil planted. Get your nutes, fans, lots of soil, ph meter, odor remover, mylar, vent equipment, thermometers etc etc. Ventiliation and temperature is KEY when you are doing a grow like this. Make sure you can get air in and out. Good luck with your operation! I'd love to see this bad boy in action! If I could have those dimensions I'd be soooooooo happy!

+1........I wouldnt really delve into why you wanna grow......I could care less if you wanna sell it, most of us dont care, but when you start outright saying you wanna commercially grow, you might be asking for trouble.
