I'm guessing that in the small container the peat puck is holding too much moisture and you are beginning to get stem rot (I repeat this is just a guess). Do you have a hole in the cup? It looks like it is getting too much water. There has to be a layer that is not soaking wet in order for the plant to thrive. Try letting the medium dry out a little bit and then water away from the peat cup. A repot might do some good.

Definitely looks like too much water, like pete said. Other than that, looks good. Hopefully you at least tried to get what you could off the roots? Havin a little soil or peat wont matter, but too much could lead to root rot, because part of the glory of the hempy is how each water is basically a flush, and the perlite holds enough moisture for a day or 2. But if you have a bunch of peat in there, those things can get soggy, and definitely could cause root rot in a hempy. But looks good man, keep it going.

Maybe over watering isn't clear.

WHY WATER TWICE A DAY? It is every other day atleast. I like to be able to water every 3 days, if not it's inconvenient and I wouldn't go with the method. But once a day when they are young I'll wet till overflow to make sure. And it's usally not much cause there is not much plant there.

Kinda depends on where you live. I use 100% perlite, and usually im fighting to stay in the low/mid 80's. I usually water almost every day. I know I'm not overwatering cause I'm smart enough to tell the symptoms, and I also can just check the res... if any spills out, I'll add just a dash that day. Don't get me wrong, plenty of times I'll wait a day, but I could water every day if I wanted to. Although right now it's in a 44oz cup, and will soon be in a 1 gal pot or w/e, so my waterings may change.

not sure what you guys are doing but I can water every 2 days and I am using 16 oz containers, watering twice a day is way too much IMO, you are drowning your plant

If you check my journal, I have Hempys same temps. But I water my way. Same everything. I don't know how big in the 44 OZ. but I have a 16 incher maybe in an Arizona 1 gallon. and she could get filled every 2, but I'll let it go to 3. I just keep an eye on everything.

hi how often should i add GH nutes to the hempy plant? Every 3 watering? Thats what i do with soiless sunshine mix #4.

i add nutes every 2-3 waterings.....kao that plant looks execlent have you started flowering her yet...peace az
