hi i just gota plant that was on 18/6 iv left it 24 hours now a want to to put it to 16 on and 8 hours of do u think it will be ok to use 16/8 or do you think it might cause problems ?? and can i use 16 on and 8 off for veg

i vegged thru a whole veg cycle with 16/8 with no problems at all! they grew a bit slower tho but still good. i had 5 different strains in there and only good results.
don't drop below 15 hours or you will trigger full flowering,
only when you have swum at the bottom of the deepest ocean can you appreciate been on the top of the highest mountain
16/8 is the right thing to do for veg people keep forgetting that plants need also night time to grow better
^^^CBB: I'm pretty sure thats not true; cannabis doesnt need a rest period unless it is in flower.
OP: The extra darkness would just cause stretching I would think..

yeah i thought they needed a dark period as well for a long time but i guess they dont need one, comething about C2 plant or something...google it but it has something to do with the enzymes in a plant. not huge on biology so i cant be much more help here. i run 18/6 and have fine results and it lowers electricity charges.

I also thought 24/7 was the best till i tried 18/6 and i do believe they do like alittle rest.Seem to grow better for me and i did 24/7 for atleast 4-5yrs.
But to each his own lets not start another thread about the best photoperiod for Vegg.
