Default More plants or less plants

I have a 90cm x 90 1.2m high indoor grow . I had four ten litre tubs under a 400w light in coco and air post .. All vented ect, setup is pro setup ... I had to lollipop my plants because it was such a small place the bottom was receiving little if no light.... So I was thinking is there away round this but not topping ! Or am I better to put 2 plants in a nft setup = plants get more light and more bud or 4 plants and risk the over crowding... Any advice or info greatful only my second grow so a newbie really

Why no topping? I find it spreads the plant out more so you could essentially use less plants if that's a problem. I don't know metric as I'm an American (lazy American) so I don't know how big your space is. Aside from it all I think less plants and an even canopy work the best. Topping and Super-Cropping work wonders in these situations. Did I help? If not let me know, I will try harder next time

Yes I have looked into topping but not to sure as my space is 4 ft x 4ft x 6ft under 400w dual spec lamp... The bottom half of my plants are not getting any light at all! The tops are gettin so buddy and big but surely I am wasting half my plant ... I have started slowly bending my tops over using string ...

I want the biggest yield possible every 8 weeks I have a separate be tent ....

Would the yield be bigger doing sea of green ect with just two plants in nft or another low maitainance hydro or lollipop 4in coco.. I have no idea and be greatful for advice on gettin a biggish yield in such a confined limited space....
E.g - type of system to use and how to train plants ect .. Willing to try a different setup if sounds good. I am new ao any info off experienced grower would be helpful smoke on peps

under 400 watts of light i grow only one plant, topped, in 5 gallons of soil. theres just not enough light for much else unless you run 1 gallon pots. give your plants what they need and they will give you what they want

topping is not the answer to everything. in fact, a lot of strains do not do as well when topped. i have many strains and probably 10 of them yield less if topped. know your strain first before screwing with it. a lot of people on here wouldnt have a clue what the unmolested plant would actually do if left alone.

In a space that size I would be looking at a 16 plant SOG or a 1 plant SCROG. Either way canopy management is key with low wattage and a small footprint. Light penetration is always going to be really poor with this setup so anything below the canopy is gonna be worthless. SCROG would probably suite you better unless you can afford F&D table to fit that space. Just my opinion, not how it should be done.

F&d table? And yes I am thinking about two plants sea of green but would I be better to continue in coco with air pots or should I do hydro nft as I do know how to grow both ways ... Thanks for input
