when do the leaves actually become useless. A few of my leaves have died due to overnuting and have a few messed up ones as well. What i'm asking is at what point do they stop absorbing light and whatever else they do, I have some that are pretty much yellow with brittle brown bits, are they still doing anything at this point?

Hi COOK..
when a leaf becomes NECROTIC.. it will NEVER turn green again.. NECROTIC.. means DEAD lol If the leaf looses its GREENESS.. and turns yellow or brown, it is DONE... Usually these leaves come off very easily with a gentle tug.. The reasons you don't want to leave these leaves around - 1. obstruct air flow 2. encourage slime, fungus, mildew iloveyou A leaf can turn LIGHT green... because of under feeding.. and then turn a healthy dark green.... it is only the yellow and brown leaves that NEVER turn green again |
