Could someone please tell me the distance I need my lights from my vegging plants I amusing a 400w.

the closer the better - as long as the plants are not being burnt

you want your lights as close to your plants as you can get them...without burning the plant. So basically, position your lights and then stick your hand between the light and the plant and if it feels too hott, you need to move them farther away. try and get them as close as possible without cookin them lol
