You can make it out of almost anything.... Do It Yourself Search there youll find many people making different hoods for different lights...

u go to your local walmart & get u a couple of space blankets(teir in the sporting good sec.) u wellbe amazed on how good they work. i even lined my walls to.

what material are those blankets made of?
i've seen a few people talk about them but i've never picked one up and looked

another good choice for reflective material would be mylar, you can get rolls of it to line your walls,

just keep in mind if you build a light reflector and youre using an hps or mh light youre gonna need something to resist the heat from the light since it would probably be pretty close to it.

what would i use to resist the heat from the light???

if youre willing to put some time and energy (and maybe a couple bucks) you could build yourself a cooltube for your light, just something clear to encase it with fans on either side to cool it, i've seen plans around here somewhere on the site, i'm kinda baked right now but i'll dig around here in a bit if no one else comes up with them

theyre not hard to design at all, plexiglass has a pretty high melting temp so you could use it to encase the light and mount fans either side. cheap and effective.
