ok so dunno if anyone remembers my stupid ass posting bout experimenting with some never tried/hardly ever tried growing techniques....i tried sand as a medium...interesting result that gave me a mutant of a plant with all sorts of weird shaped leaves....it died soon after....however i managed to keep two plants alive growing in the same bucket under 8 cfl's with 3 fans and no reflectors, i then started doing weird shit to them in the veg state pulling the lights far away for a week then closer the next, trimmed them up til they looked like palm trees, and somehow got them super bushy a stronger main stem and smelling nice, then i started playing with light cycles (pretty much seeing if there was any way to completely fuck up this miracle plant, and they keep fighting back!) all sorts of light amounts and times, 12/12, 13/6/5, 24/0 and so on....pretty much a different amount everyday...

so anyway today i open the cabinet to see what my lil homies are up to in their seemingly constant 6 inch happiness zone(it seems as though they stopped growing) and voila! i see that they are both female....amazing, since i figured they'd be dead by now, but have proved to be quite resilient. My question now is if i throw them onto a normalish light cycle will they be able to actually produce buds at the current height they are (about 6"s) i'm not looking for yields here just experimenting ....and also should i consider cloning these, really only been on this weird light test for about a week.....

any ideas are welcome

still no idea's huh? i suppose i should post some pics of the midgets...but the camera batteries are charging i'll try to get it done tonight.....but yea definitely two females, i think i'll just try to make them grow and throw them back on 24/0 or something like that

well.. ill tell you this. Nothing out there can increase a chance of a Female or a male.. Its pre-determined.

on the other hand... you could make a hermie,... for example if you have females.. they can go hermie by having unstable environmental changes. Such as, light source changing strength or hours of light.

What you were doing ( playing with light distance, hours of light) is really bad for plants. It triggerers their emergency "make a shit load of seeds because were about to die" mode. What happens is.. the plant thinks that somthign is wrong with its growing enviornment and it wants to reproduce before its too late thus doing everything it can (becoming a hermie) to reproduce so its strain will survive. Kind of like most things in nature.

Hopfully your plants dont develop male parts as well...


Remember, Plants like Steady and STABLE environments. Changing attributes of the grow area fast or dramatically will = very unhealthy plants + hermie chance.

i agree with the fear of hermies...however they haven't really shown any sign of stress, and seem quite adaptive to the changes, in fact they seem to be getting stronger...its quite strange, but i was thinking the light changes could immitate the deep woods effect of constant shifting light filtered by other trees and shadows...or maybe im just too stoned, either way...still all female no balls, and very nice shade of green and getting bushier every day...who knows maybe it will get bigger...like i said i was thinking id just throw it back on 24/0 they're only about 4 weeks old
