Can anyone help?

Hey everyone.

This is my first post on here. After being a regular reader for some time i decided to try my own grow.

I'll just give you the lowdown on my setup:

Wardrobe, 6X 3gallon pots (filled with bio-bizz allmix) each with a 30 DAY from seed skunk #1 sitting in it. Using an rvk systemair 100mm filtered exhaust connected to 400W HPS cool tube, with 2 passive intakes.

Temp 26-28c Humidity 20-50%

My seeds germinated fine in a propagator and seemed to be thriving in pots after transplant until the third week when I saw roots trying to escape my 1 gal pots and the leaves seemed to start drooping a little. I watered more regularly (approx. once daily). Everyday more drooping seemed to occur and I attributed this to them outgrowing their pots and needing more water. I watered once more with a 1/4 strength canna terra vega water solution.

I realised at this point that the problem may have been in fact that I'd been overwatering.

Over the next few days I've noticed almost total stop in upward growth, plants seem to be too bunched up tight so I've transplanted them to 3 gal pots and ceased watering until the soil is bone dry. Some lower leafs are totally yellow and some yellow with brown spots. Some also have dark grey patches.

This is very confusing for me. I'm not sure if they're under or over fertilised or over watered etc. Will these plants thrive again? I've noticed leaves have picked up a little since not watering and stem seems a little firmer at the top.

I'm not sure whether to wait and see if they start growing again. Buy more seeds and start again or try and clone them to save some money.

I'd very much appreciate any help! Thanks!

Ok here are my thoughts:

Humidity is too low, vegetative growth should have a 50-60% humidity level.
Do you PH your water? It should be 6.5-6.8. And yes, you did over water, as I have been doing myself. I don't know if you should clone before those babies heal a bit. Just some thoughts.

Good luck.

You have done a good job of keeping your light cool. Did you just move it up for the pictures? Youu should be able to put that light within 1' of the tops with that air movement. I didn't see anything about drainage for your pots. Could you tell what you did in that area? It could help.

Hi thanks for the reply , I've moved the light up to keep the temp down as air movement became a little constricted once the new pots came in and covered an intake. The new pots have holes in them but there's no drainage yet as I'm letting the soil dry because of overwatering. Please correct me here If I'm making a mistake. Also should I remove the leaves that are dying? They are crispy!

Do you think they'll survive or is it time to buy new seeds and start again.

Thanks for your input man. Peace!

Also forgot to mention I tested the PH of my water nutrient solution and it was too acidic (indicator turned red). I've invested in some PH up but too scared of fertilizing till I now what's up. I guess I need to invest in a humidifier too.

if you have ph up then use it...its like a quarter teaspoon per gallon per .5 ph upwards...that might change your plants health...its really important to keep it at like 6.8. Maybe buy a moisture meeter too...works like a charm and takes guess work out.

Yes, invest in a humidifier. You definitely want that humidity up and ideally consistent. About 60% for veg. growth is the accepted norm.

And get your pH sorted out before you fertilize! If your pH is messed up, you can't diagnose nutrient/fertilizer problems properly.
