More light worth the extra heat??
As the title says really i have a 1.2m by 1.2 x2 m tent think that is 4x4x7.
I have 2 5galon dwc buckets and 1 11 litre soil plant i have got a 600w cooltube and a 5inch rvk l1
I have blue cheese and exodus cheese growing now everythink is goin perfect and temps at about 19c lights off and 24-25 c on i have a 250w hps and a 400w hps i was going to add one of these but when i added the 250w the temps rose to 28c is it worth to have less than optimal temps for extra 250w light the one plant is really quite a big bush as this had 6 weeks veg an the rest only 3 what do u guys think

no, despite what people think, more light isn't always better, especially if you can't get rid of the heat built up by a larger light..
if your space can handle more heat, ie, you have proper ventilation, temps in check, etc, than you may be able to get away with more light.. if your tent is already in the higher end of things temp wise, i'd say stick with what you got...

I've got the same problem i switched from my fluorescents for my seedlings to my 600w hps today and the temps went wayyy up! more than i expected since i had to have a heater in there to keep it at 25°c. Now that i have the 600 in there temps are at like 32°(90°f)
since i have a dimmable balast and a couple 400w bulbs i will probly change to 400 watts tomorrow and hope the temps settle around 26-28 if not then i will have to upgrade my ventilation or hold out till the temps start dropping a bit
Ye i think 32 is a tad high mate is a cooltube out the question as this has cooled my room down a lot

a cool tube would be nice but im going for a stealth grow and the less fans and ducting i need the better. i only have 4 plants in a fairly small room so i switched to the 400w and turned my fan up a bit, the temps have dropped to about 28°c which im comfortable with, hopefully as fall comes it will drop into that 24-26° range
