Putting a blooming plant back under 18/6?

So I just partially harvested my Nirvana PPP after 81 days of 12/12. I took off the uppermost buds on all of the branches and they are up to dry, but there are quite a few popcorn buds that need to reach a little more maturity. Based on my last two partial harvests, that will take about 1-1.5 weeks.

But I really need the space that plant is taking up for something else that is ready to go into the flower tent. Of course I could just go ahead and chop the PPP entirely, but I really don't like the idea of so many immature buds. And I hate making hash.

So what would happen if I put the plant into my veg box under 18/6? Would the buds mature, or would the plant just try to reveg and halt maturation of the remaining buds?

Hopefully, this will be my last partial harvest. I'm learning how to trim these lower branches up better so I end up with much less popcorn to worry about and the focus can be on the uppermost buds.

Pinching off those popcorn bud sites is the real ticket. The plant wastes sooo much energy on those popcorn buds when all that energy should be going up to the cola's, whether you have only one cola, six or even eight.

Chop her down completely and concentrate on the next grow.

Yeah, I will be doing that on present grows. I've got 2 in 12/12 now for about a week, have pretty much trimmed up the lower branches before the switch and will pinch off the lower popcorn this go round. I only have 4 main branches from topping above the 2nd node too.

I've decided to leave the PPP in the flower room to finish up the lower buds. I did this with my Green Poison and the popcorn is pretty much equal to the top buds that were harvested 1.5 weeks before them. And since all of my plants in veg now are close to getting ready for 12/12, I'm just going to switch the lights in there to 12/12 in a few days until space opens up in the flower tent. I won't need the veg space for anything until about 30 days from harvest of my other plants.
